This 5-day trekking adventure takes you through some of Jordan’s most remote and spectacular landscapes, combining wild nature, ancient history, and a unique journey on foot toward Petra. Designed for travelers seeking an immersive experience in a shorter timeframe, the route follows historic paths across mountains, valleys, and desert terrain.
Starting in Amman, the trek leads through the diverse ecozones of the Dana Biosphere Reserve, across the Sharah Mountains, and through dramatic wadis shaped by time and nature. Along the way, the landscape gradually shifts from deep wilderness to areas marked by Bedouin life and early Nabataean remains, before entering Petra via its quieter back route and revealing the Monastery, the ancient city center, and the iconic Treasury.
Traveling at a steady pace, the journey combines challenging yet rewarding hikes with nights spent in wilderness camps and local Bedouin camps. Support along the way allows you to focus on the experience itself, ending the trek at the Petra Visitor Center after five unforgettable days on the trail.
