Do you want to step into a journey where rugged beauty, high mountain culture, and remote wilderness become part of your story? This trek circles around Mount Manaslu (8,163 m) — the world’s eighth‑highest peak, offering an off‑the‑beaten‑path hike that feels far from the crowded trails of Everest and Annapurna. You’ll walk through forests, terraced fields, alpine meadows, and cross the dramatic Larkya La Pass (5,160 m), a true highlight of high Himalayan trekking.

The route showcases diverse landscapes and cultures as you pass traditional Gurung, Tamang, and Tibetan‑influenced villages like Namrung, Samagaon, Samdo, and Yak Kharka. Along the way there are views of peaks such as Ganesh Himal, Annapurna II, Himalchuli, and Lamjung Himal, serene glacial lakes like Birendra Tal, and opportunities to explore Manaslu Base Camp and ancient gompas tucked into the high valleys.

Progressing steadily with designed acclimatization stops, the trek blends scenic adventure with cultural immersion. Nights are spent in mountain lodges amidst quiet landscapes, giving you time to relax and absorb the beauty. From lush river valleys to high ridges above 5,000 m, this journey offers a unique mix of challenge, solitude, and unforgettable Himalayan views.

Tour provider's comments

This is a challenging high-altitude trek that includes remote trails, steep ascents, and long trekking days. The main difficulty is altitude, with the highest point at Larkya La Pass (5,106 m), where proper acclimatization is essential.

Trekkers should be prepared for cold temperatures, especially near the pass, where conditions can drop below freezing. Trail sections may be steep, icy, or slippery, requiring good footwear and steady footing.

Daily hikes typically last 6–8 hours and involve significant elevation gain and loss, so good physical fitness and stamina are necessary. Weather in the Himalayas can change quickly, adding to the challenge.

Due to the remote nature of the region, access to medical facilities is very limited, making preparation and self-care especially important.
